Stacie Ferguson

From the time Stacie could pick up a pencil she has been drawing or painting. Though her family is most important, being able to paint is vital and definitive to Stacie’s being. After many years of experimenting with pen and ink, oils and pastels, she became passionate about watercolors. This medium allowed her to achieve the detail of an oil painting, while executing the luminous quality of a watercolor.

Stacie majored in art in college and then went on to study with such artists as Ben Konis in New Mexico and Cholla and Polly Hammett in Texas. Over the past 19 years she has entered many juried art shows which resulted in many first place and best of show awards.

In New Mexico she received the Give Back Award and an Award of Merit in 2005 in the Masterworks Spring Show. The Watercolor Society of New Mexico awarded her third place in their Spring Show of 2006. Her attention to detail in outdoor scenes, buildings and landscapes have led to commissions and special projects, and her art is displayed in many private collections throughout the United States.
